The show · 2026 season

Every pixel,
accounted for.

What you see from the street is the easy part. Behind it: every prop mapped to an address, and a setlist sequenced note-by-note so the yard actually sings.

Here's the whole picture.

One yard,
a dozen scenes.

This is the real layout file the show is built from. Tap any marker to see what sits at that corner of the yard.

xLights layout of the Lights on Quail display: mega tree and yard strands at left, the house with roofline, porch columns, snowflakes, window panels and door arch at center, and a spiral tree, pixel poles, mini trees and bulb runs at right.

Under the hood

Every bulb is
its own light.

These aren't strings that blink on and off together. Every single pixel out there has its own address and takes its own instruction — which means a color can travel down a roofline, a tree can spin, and the whole yard can move as one picture. Twenty-two thousand tiny decisions, forty times a second.

Pixels

22,000

Individually addressable

Not one switch for the whole strand — one for every bulb. That's the difference between lights that twinkle and a yard that comes to life.

Biggest prop

The Mega Tree

6,400 pixels

Close to a third of the whole show lives in one cone. It's the piece doing the heavy lifting in almost every sequence.

Controllers

3 × Kulp Smart Controllers

The brains of the yard

They take the sequence file and turn it into instructions for all 22,000 pixels, frame after frame, all night long.

Power

Low voltage

LED throughout

The entire display runs on low-voltage LED throughout — which is how a yard this size stays practical to run night after night.

The setlist

Twelve songs on rotation.

The Christmas lineup for Season 02. Three slots are still open — they get filled as sequences come off the timeline.
